Of course, we are talking about the plant cassava also known as manioc. The plant originates from the South African part of the world, and it belongs to the spurge family of plants.

Newest research has shown that the cassava plant can be highly beneficial for our health, thanks to its many health benefits coming from its richness in proteins, beta-carotene, lysine, vitamins and minerals. Consuming the plant on regular basis can also improve bone strength and resistance as well as treat headaches, arthritis and infertility.

Cassava Health Benefits Health

According to scientific reports, the plant is powerful enough to treat tumors, and the extract of the plant can also be used to treat various health conditions. From preventing diabetes, birth defects and improving circulation, to boosting the red blood cell count, maintaining fluid balance, lowering cholesterol, preventing Alzheimer’s disease and protecting the cardiovascular health, this plant has a long list of health benefits.

Consuming Cassava Plant

In order to consume the cassava plant, you first need to cook it well. This needs to be done in order to eliminate the small amount of cyanide it contains. Start off by peeling the plant, then cut it in pieces and alternate them between hot and cold water. When they’re soaked well, store them in the fridge for a few hours, and pour the liquid in which they were soaked, in another liquid such as juice or water, and drink the solution every morning on an empty stomach.

Rich In Vitamin B17 – Cancer Killer

The cassava plant has rich content in vitamin B17, which is the main reason behind its incredibly powerful anti-cancer properties. Dr. Cynthia Jayasuriya, an ear, nose and throat surgeon started to investigate the properties of this plant when she was diagnosed with transitional cell cancer. She learned that the cassava is rich in this essential vitamin, so she decided to consume it for one month straight, eating a total of 100 grams a day. In the morning she ate boiled cassava, and in the afternoon she ate it as curry. After one month, she did a test and found out that her body contained no trace of the cancer.

As soon as the cassava plant enters the body, the vitamin B17 mixes with an enzyme by the name of Rhodanese, which breaks down the vitamin into three sugars. Cancer cells are immature cells which have a different enzyme, beta-glucosidase, which breaks vitamin B17 into glucose, benzaldehyde, and hydrocyanic acid. The acid then kills the cancer as it acts like a LTTE cyanide capsule.
