“These findings show that cancer cells can readily metabolize fructose to increase proliferation,” wrote the 2010 Dr. Anthony Heeney and colleagues from the University of California.

“They have great significance for oncology patients who were prescribed diet refined fructose, and show that reducing intake of refined fructose or fructose treated termination actions may disrupt cancer growth,” he said.
